Kitchen & Events Team Member - Part Time Dos Manos Kitchen is looking for a friendly, dependable person to join our small team. This is a hands-on role that will include working in our restaurant, helping with food prep and cooking, and assisting with catering events and pop-ups. We’re a small, growing business, so we’re looking for someone who is flexible, positive, and willing to jump in wherever needed. Being welcoming and friendly with customers and coworkers is especially important to us. Responsibilities •Assist with food prep and cooking •Help with day-to-day restaurant operations •Work occasional catering events, festivals, and pop-ups •Load, unload, and transport food and equipment as needed •Occasionally drive a van to events or pick up supplies •Help keep the kitchen and work areas clean and organized •Provide friendly, welcoming customer service Requirements •Some kitchen or cooking experience •Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving a van •Reliable and dependable •Friendly, positive attitude and works well with others •Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment •Evening and weekend availability •Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required Schedule •Some shifts will be at our restaurant, some at our prep kitchen in Charlestown, and some off-site events, festivals, and pop-ups. • This position will have a variable schedule based on the season and our event calendar. •We expect more hours during the fall (2-3 days/week), fewer hours during the winter months, and an increase in hours again beginning in the spring. Compensation •Starting pay is $16/hour plus tips. We guarantee that total pay, including tips, will average at least $23/hour each biweekly pay period with the potential to earn significantly more during larger events. We understand that everyone has commitments outside of work and are happy to offer some scheduling flexibility around certain days. This is a customer-facing role that will include working shifts at our restaurant as well as helping at catering events, festivals, and pop-ups. We’re a small, growing business, so we’re looking for someone who is warm, positive, flexible, and comfortable jumping in where needed. A big part of this role is making people feel welcome, so being genuinely friendly and attentive with customers is especially important to us. Responsibilities •Greet customers and provide friendly, welcoming service •Take orders and process payments •Answer basic menu questions and help customers with their orders •Package and hand off food accurately and efficiently •Help keep the front counter, dining, and service areas clean and organized •Restock supplies and assist with basic opening and closing tasks •Work shifts at catering events, festivals, and pop-ups •Help with event setup, service, and breakdown •Assist the rest of the team as needed during busy periods Requirements •Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with customers •Reliable and dependable •Positive attitude and works well as part of a small team •Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment •Able to stay organized and attentive when things get busy •Evening and weekend availability •Previous restaurant, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience is helpful, but not required •Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required Schedule •This position will have a variable schedule based on the season and our event calendar. •Most shifts will be at our restaurant at The Charles River Speedway and some at off-site events, festivals, and pop-ups. •We expect more hours during the fall (2-3 days/week), fewer hours during the winter months, and an increase in hours again beginning in the spring.
